Explosion box

Explosion Box for Cricut Circle Blogiversary contest. The Cricut cuts include the title "family" and the tag on the lid, and the two butterflies inside. There are also 3 buttons-the "i" in family on the lid (doesn't show up well in the pic) and one each of the butterflies.

Fleur de Lis Card

This card was created for the Cricut Circle Blogiversary contest. I think the fleur de lis is great for guy cards (which are always a challenge in my opinion!).

Materials:
Black square card base
Cream/black pattern paper, Lasting Impressions
Orange and Black cardstock, Bazzill
Kraft cardstock
Buttons
Brown Baker's twine, Martha Stewart
Thanks So Much rub on, American Crafts
"A" charm, Making Memories (It's my initial LOL)
Brown and black inks for edges
Martha Stewart punch "Cornice
Sewing machine

Cricut Cuts:
Fleur de Lis and Banner, Art Philosophy

Adhere 5 x 5" patterned paper square to 5 1/2 x 5 1/2" square card base (card fold should be at the top). Use Cricut to cut the fleur de lis top layer at 2 3/4" and banner<1> at 3" and trim height to liking. Use "cornice" paper punch to punch along both sides of orange strip originally cut at 2 1/4" wide. Attach to lower portion of card and sew randomly back and forth multiple times. Use baker's twine to sew on buttons (using different thread patterns) and then wrap some around width of card multiple times and tie in a knot. Use a few extra strands grouped together to make a bow and attach initial charm (if desired). Stamp or place a rub-on sentiment in right lower corner. Finish inside as desired.

Birthday Card using Art Philosophy

Here is a card I created for my Mom's upcoming birthday using the exclusive Close To My Heart "Art Philosophy" Cricut cartridge. I used the postage stamp type square and dragonfly layer cuts. The top layers were all cut at 5". The blue (dragonfly), red(thin red frame under vellum) and printed yellow background (behind vellum and red frame) of the dragonfly layers are papers from the "Brunch" collection by Crate Paper. I also used a vellum layer under the top dragonfly cut which I embossed it with the "Birthday" A2 Cuttlebug folder. the kraft paper layer is cut a rectangle cut 1/4" larger then top layers all around. The sentiment stamp is from a CTMH stamp set that came with the Art Philosophy bundle and is in "Merlot" cat eye ink. The ribbon is from Michael's. i added pearls to define the wings and body a bit. The card base is a light yellow linen texture from Joann's. All of the edges were inked in either "Cocoa" or "Merlot" cat eye ink. The colors don't every photograph as pretty as they are unfortunately.
